Regulation U.S. Cavalry Rifle Scabbard for 1903 Springfield Rifle

Complete with original straps and clips.

This scabbard was issued to several units and is marked with several strike overs. 

Some letters and numbers are difficult to read. 

One set does stand out and it is "HQ 10 D 24" which  would be Headquarter troop of the 10th cavalry, troop D, Trooper 24.

The other side of the scabbard has several other sets of army initials difficult to read,

plus two sets of handcarved initials "A.E."  

Very good condition and great with any McClellan saddle display.
