Mountain Apache Gaan Wands

A pair of Apache Gaan wands used by masked dancers who impersonate the supernatural spirits or gaan. 

These dancers perform at various curing ceremonies and at a girl’s puberty ceremony. 

These wands are authentic, of typical construction, 28” tall and 14” wide.  They are from Arizona and are not “old” pieces.
